Munchies

I have spent the last 8 weeks in California eating all kinds of fast foods such as McDonalds, In ‘n’ Out, Carls Juniors, Jack in the box, Fat Burger and Wingstop. Some of these are a lot more popular than others however, when comparing them side by side I was questioning the hype of some of these chains. For example, the Wingstop in Culver City is right next to an In ‘n’ Out and in my opinion Wingstop is a thousand times better than In ‘n’ Out yet when ever we drove past the queue for In ‘n’ Out would stretch up the road. So I decided to write a blog post on my top three unpopular fast foods…

Wingstop

This is my number one choice for fast food! It’s a very homey environment. When you walk in it’s small with only a few seats but you feel comfortable as if you were in your own kitchen (well almost). The food there is my favourite food ever and I am obsessed! We usually order chicken tenders or boneless wings in BBQ and garlic parmesan. When you order they make it fresh so theres a bit of a wait but it’s worth it when the chicken is juicy and hot and covered, I mean covered in the flavours! The fries are something else though. They have their own seasoning and the only way I can describe them is salty but also a little bit sweet. To be honest my description doesn’t do it justice so you’ll have to try it for yourself! And try the ranch!!!

Fat Burger

The atmosphere in Fat Burger isn’t as nice as it is in Wingstop, it’s lit up with cold bright lights. However it gives it this local American burger joint feel when you walk in. I wouldn’t eat inside like I would in Wingstop however this doesn’t put me off going. The food is amazing! Their burgers are fully loaded with everything you could ever want! They are also huge and come in sizes from medium (which is bigger than a McDonalds burger) to XXXL. If you finish the XXXL burger your photo gets put on the wall of fame. My favourite thing about Fat Burger is their shakes, thick and so so creamy! It’s up there with the best milkshakes I’ve ever had! If you are living in the UK you are in luck because there are two locations where you can try this beautiful burger: Camden and Wembley. Oh! And order the fat fries, you wont be sorry!

Panda Express

Okay, so if I’m being honest, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Chinese food until this year which is slightly embarrassing I know. Panda isn’t authentic Chinese food obviously but they do try and as someone who can be picky, Panda never fails to impress! We usually order a plate each which comes with 2 entrees and one side. My favourite side is the chow mein. It’s very moorish and you just can’t stop eating it! For the entrees, broccoli beef is my favourite, the beef is really tender and the sauce on it is amazing. Plus, It’s a healthier option so win win really. The second entree I usually get is their orange chicken which I would say is a pretty signature dish for them although sometimes I can find the sauce a bit much but it’s still really good! A small tip if you’re considering visiting: get a veggie spring roll.

So these are my top three less popular fast food chains that I could probably live off for my whole life. Go check them out if you haven’t already! It will be worth your while! If you guys have any fast food places that you absolutely love comment below so I can check them out!

Peace out guys x
